How guides get written on Lightly, in the open:

Who writes

Parents who have made the trip in question. Guides are written and reviewed by our small editorial team led by Dominique Olowolafe; nothing is published untested against a real journey with a real child.

How facts are handled

• Rules that change — airline policies, security allowances, fees — are described with instructions to check the official page, not quoted as fixed numbers that rot.
• Safety guidance (car seats, safe sleep) always follows mainstream official recommendations. We are parents, not paediatricians, and the guides say so where it matters.
• When a reader reports an error, we correct the page and update its date.

What we don’t do

• No sponsored posts dressed as guides.
• No free products in exchange for coverage.
• No AI-generated “advice” published unreviewed — every word is checked by a human who has carried a diaper bag through an airport.
